Sometimes you get clients from the most unexpected places and can’t be attributed to anything but luck. Recently my good luck has been coming the way of UNT’s music school, which has provided me the opportunity to work with three talented and attractive young ladies in three different music programs. Last week I shot the third of those lovely and talented young women, trumpet player Elizabeth (Beth) Peroutka. Beth was looking for a photographer to create some images for her new website and happen to find me online.

Beth Peroutka is originally from Annapolis Maryland and has an undergraduate degree in trumpet performance from UNT studying with professor John Holt. Beth has performed in UNT’s symphony orchestra, symphonic band, was a featured soloist with the UNT brass band and was named Outstanding Undergraduate in Brass Performance for 2009. Beth is currently in the process of creating a website to promote her services as a wedding and event trumpet player and is also attending graduate school for her masters degree in trumpet performance.

The goal for Beth’s photo shoot was to capture a few strong head-shots and follow-up with some conceptual environmental portraits in a follow-up shoot. The shoot went off without a hitch and I couldn’t be more happy with the results.
